I enjoyed the cast though. And I must give honourable mentions to Andy Serkis as Alley and David Bowie (yes him) as Tesla. The rivalry between Bale and Jackman is intense and actual sense of history and abhorrence is among them, so significantly so that it feels like World War 3 could break out at any moment. This movie confused me wayyy too much but it was good. Who wants revenge, who does not, what does the other guy want. Scarlett Johansson just adds to that extra bonus of the starcast. And I feel Rebecca Hale is sooo significantly the betteractress than Scarlett Johanssen, so I was entertained, but not reallyfooled. Michael Caine AND David Bowie. Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale did a excellent job and I thought the direction, cinematography, and score had been terrific, incorporating Nolan's nonlinear structure that makes so several of his films great. It produced me think in magic again. Christian Bale AND Hugh Jackman. The whole film had to be completed in late 1800 time period and looked like the actual deal. Nothingmakes any sense. This fast-moving movie is pretty implausible. Because you do not getconfused who is who. During it's running time The Prestige will make you irritated, confused, exasperated, frustrated but just before it's over. What a load of rubbish: 1/10. Stopped it about halfway through. The tale of two competing magicians in the 1800's, the film is blessed with excellent performances all through and a story so ingenious, so convoluted, so beautifully realised that it will keep you guessing till the final frame and will have you discussing the story for days right after initial viewing. Illusionist is much better. As the story advances, the style becomes less and much less interested inrealism. He is sharp, dramatic, and fulfilling and I hope he does a lot more roles like this rather than playing Wolverine in X-Men. Each and every viewing reveals more of the impressive way Nolan foreshadows what's to come, giving the viewer every little thing they require without resorting to cheats. Or realscience fiction. The way the movie plays out, it's like a massive magic trick, with the audience waiting to see how it unfolds, acquiring the suspicion on how it's completed, but yet sitting by means of it thorough engaged to discover how every thing will be revealed and resolved. Everythingunfolds in front of your eyes but you still didn't watch whilst Nolanamazes you with a new trick from his seemingly inexhaustible bag oftricks. It had superb directing and a betterplot. It reallt makes you believe about it lol. This has funmoments, and the tone isn't all dark. Alfred Borden (Christian Bale) and Robert Angier (Hugh Jackman) begin out together, working for a rival magician. Yet again christian bale why he is 1 of the finest actors around.

I preferred The Illusionist but this 1 still had it's charms. Jackman and Caine are really good as often, not too a lot to say about the other people. I fell asleep on it 2 times i truly kinda liked the movie but it was usually to late to watch it so i kept fellin a sleep but thirds time a charm lol. Not as excellent as the illusionist. Way better than The Illusionist. Instead there is flashbacks and flash forwards, as the reveal and revelation is slowly bought forward. The place shown which are setting reflects the period of the story which gave the movie a nice ambiance.

The twists in the plot cankeep you thinking till the credits roll in. Why not have space aliens land and be in control of the apparent show. Their rivalry grows a lot more vicious and desperate, with their magic skills utilized not only to wow audiences but wreak havoc on one another. Of course this 1 has to be one of my favorites. The warnings from thealready stained Nikola Tesla (Bowie) had been not enough to drive Robertoff this extremely corrupt path. And I predictable and analyzed every little thing I just said above inthe very first ten minutes alone. Neither seemed to take the spotlight witch resulted in the competing and confrontations appearing to be really realistic.
